Employers Express Concerns Regarding Proposals to Change Tax Treatment of Job-Based Health Benefits


Washington – Mallory Micetich, a spokesperson for the National Coalition on Benefits, today issued the following statement in advance of the House Ways and Means Committee hearing on “The Tax Treatment of Health Care”:

“Private sector employers urge Members of the House Ways & Means Committee to avoid changes to the tax treatment of employer-sponsored health benefits that adversely impact employers and employees.
“Such changes impede the ability of employers to offer coverage and for employees to afford it.”
